Solena initially came to LifeSkills as an Occupational Therapy Assistant student in 2012. She was immediately fascinated by sensory integration and sensory processing and was honored to accept a position where she could help such incredible children and work with a great team. She has dedicated the last nine years to understanding and helping children with sensory processing disorders. Wanting to grow as a therapist and expand her knowledge of OT,

Solena decided to further her education and obtained her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy in December of 2020. Solena has attended continuing education courses related to sensory processing, neurodevelopment, primitive reflexes, and visual rehabilitation. She is an active member of NBCOT and a proud mother of two wonderful boys. She enjoys spending quality time outdoors with her husband, children, and dog Chief.

"I feel blessed and privileged to have the opportunity to work with such unique and amazing children! Although my clinical experience and education have given me a strong understanding of sensory processing disorder and sensory integration therapy, I will always strive to continue to learn and grow as a therapist. I am honored to be a part of LifeSkills and dedicated to helping children and their families put the pieces together!”
